Class 1 – Owner Operator

Central Island Distributors is looking for a Class 1 Owner Operator based out of our Nanaimo location

This is an owner-operator position only — applicants must have their own truck.

• Competitive trip rates for Nanaimo to Port Hardy runs twice a week (evening and weekend availability required)

What You’ll Do

• Conduct pre-trip and post trip inspections
• Assist with loading/unloading when required
• Able to operate pallet jack
• Comply with all transportation regulations and hours of service rules
• Maintain accurate delivery and trip records
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers

What You Need

• Class 1 License – required
• Clean driver’s abstract
• Tandem Axle Tractor (Day Cab or Sleeper)
• Experience with temperature controlled loads
• Well maintained and reliable equipment
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Weekend and evening availability
