💵 Starting Wage: $29.00 – $31.00/hour (based on experience)

We are currently expanding our team and are seeking experienced Class 1 Drivers for both part-time and full-time positions.

As a Class 1 Driver at Central Island Distributors, you will play a vital role in transporting goods safely and efficiently across Vancouver Island. You’ll help ensure timely deliveries while upholding our commitment to safety, service, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Report vehicle maintenance issues in a timely manner
• Ensure all freight is handled with care and delivered safely and on time
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork
• Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers
• Keep vehicles clean and well-maintained
• Represent the company with a customer-first attitude
• Perform other duties as required

What We’re Looking For

• A Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement
• Clean driver’s abstract
• Experience in commercial/freight driving preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Safety-focused mindset and strong work ethic
• Team-oriented attitude
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission preferred
• Basic mechanical knowledge an asset
• Forklift certification or experience an asset

💰 Signing bonuses of $500 – $700 available for successful candidates part-time and full-time after completion of a 90-day probationary period.
